22 July 2014 – The outgoing and incoming Defense and Armed Forces Attachés (DAFA) OF the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Seoul made a joint courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Raul S. Hernandez on July 16 at the Embassy Chancery.

Col. Eddie Ireneo D. Maningding is scheduled to end his three-year tour of duty on July 31. He will be succeeded by Col. Francis Lardizabal, who will assume office the following day on August 1.

The Office of DAFA in Seoul is one of six attached agencies of the Philippine government represented at the Philippine diplomatic mission in South Korea. The Office also functions as the UN Command’s Philippine Liaison Group, which supports the UN mission of peace and reconciliation in the Korean Peninsula. END
