Philippines Showcases Innovation, Creativity, and Sustainable Practices at Hong Kong Lifestyle Fairs 2025

HONG KONG 06 May 2025 — A total of seven Philippine exhibitors showcased the Philippines’ vibrant creative industries with a stunning array of innovative, sustainable and culturally inspired products at this year’s Hong Kong Lifestyle Fairs, specifically: Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home Instyle, and Fashion Instyle concurrently held from 27 to 30 April 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The Philippine participation highlighted the country’s exceptional talent in handcrafting artisanal homeware products and showcasing innovative designs with a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern aesthetics to captivate international buyers and investors.

He further commended the exhibitors’ dedication in showcasing products embodying the Philippines’ unique blend of indigenous traditions and contemporary innovation on the global stage. 

At the 40th edition of Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Dekokraft Inc., presented a range of high-quality and finely crafted Christmas and holiday decors while the Cebu-based company Freeriders International Corp. showcased a diverse range of wooden souvenir items, which mainly targets Europe and US markets. 

The Home Instyle featured an impressive lineup of Philippine exhibitors who exhibited unique and high-quality offerings of home décor and lifestyle products. The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) curated a booth featuring products from 33 Point 3 Exports Inc. and Tadeco Home, showcasing woven textiles using all-natural materials and home accent pieces. Meanwhile, HKTDC expo regular Conway Designs, Inc. presented their unique handcrafted goods, household decors and accent pieces made of laminated Capiz shells and abalone shells while Home Accents Group of the Philippines Inc. (HAPI) and Philippine Homestyle & Holiday Décor Association (PhilHHLDA) presented a premium collection of quality artisanal products, festive and seasonal decors delicately made by various Philippine MSMEs, capturing the essence of Filipino creativity and expertise.  

The Philippines was likewise represented by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) at the NEXT@Fashion Instyle zone, supported by the Hong Kong Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA).  The Philippine booth showcased innovative textiles, upcycled fabrics, and avant-garde clothing that combine traditional Filipino weaving techniques using eco-friendly and natural materials. The booth featured the Philippine Tropical Fabrics and KAWAYARN collections along with the outstanding textile creations from AsiaTex, Lakat Sustainables, and Davao Fashion and Design Council. The Institute’s participation highlighted the Philippines’ textile ingenuity showcasing circular textile-garment economy through the use of local natural resources. The Institute’s display further showed the country’s commitment to sustainable fashion to meet global demands. 

The Philippine products drew praise for creativity, versatility and innovation as well as its alignment with global eco-conscious trends and sustainable practices, fostering connection with potential buyers and investors. 

The aforementioned lifestyle fairs are organized by the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTDC), and simultaneously held with Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, Deluxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference, which all drawn around 6,000 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions. The Consulate notes that the Philippine participation in these lifestyle fairs underscores the nation’s creative prowess and further enhances trade and investment. END
