Skokie Mayor Proclaims May 2025 as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Skokie Mayor Ann Tennes issued a Proclamation declaring May 2025 as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month during the Skokie Village Board Meeting on 05 May 2025.

Consul Ella Karina R. Mitra, representing Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano, received the Proclamation from Mayor Tennes on behalf of the Filipino community in Skokie. She thanked Mayor Tennes for officially recognizing the significant contributions and achievements of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities and how they continue to shape and enrich the fabric of this nation.
