PH Embassy in Saudi Arabia Conducts Immersion Program for Filipino Student Leaders

RIYADH 09 May 2025 – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh successfully conducted the Student Leaders Immersion Program: A Day in the Life of a Diplomat on 04 May 2025, bringing together 13 student leaders from Al Majd International School, Al Taj International School, Al Dannah International School, FEU-Roosevelt, Future Generation International School, International Philippine School in Al Khobar, and Palm Crest International School for a day of diplomacy, dialogue and leadership development.

The program, hosted at the Embassy and the Ambassador’s Residence, deepened students' understanding of the Embassy’s functions and the teamwork required among its personnel to fulfill their duties effectively.

Students engaged in discussions led by Embassy officials covering topics such as political affairs, national security, economics, trade, public and cultural diplomacy, consular services, assistance to nationals, as well as administrative functions. A guided tour of the Embassy offices further enriched their experience by providing practical insights into its daily operations.

Ambassador Balatbat encouraged student leaders to think critically about their role in shaping a brighter future for Filipinos worldwide, emphasizing that true leadership is not merely about influence, but also about responsibility and service. In addition to embracing confidence, the Ambassador inspired students to cultivate their strengths, and strive to become the best versions of themselves.

The Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia will continue to foster education, leadership, and cultural awareness through this initiative, ensuring that young Filipinos in the Kingdom remain connected to their heritage while preparing for impactful roles in society. END
