Philippines Engage with ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea (ROK) at the 29th ASEAN-ROK Dialogue

BANGKOK 19 May 2025 – The Philippines participated in the 29th ASEAN-ROK Dialogue held in Bangkok, Thailand from 15 to 16 May 2025.  ASEAN-Philippines SOM Leader Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro represented the Philippines in the said meeting.

At the dialogue, the Philippines led discussions on Maritime Cooperation, underscoring its vital role in the region, anchored on a rules-based international order and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), to regional peace and stability and achieving sustainable development and shared prosperity. The Philippines also recognized the Republic of Korea as a valued partner in advancing maritime priorities and encouraged to further deepen cooperation with ASEAN. END
