Philippine Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal Facilitates Repatriation of Filipino Worker 

Ms. Flordeliza Domo Rodriguez, accompanied by her escort Ms. Maria May Amurao and was assisted by Welfare Officers and airport paramedics.

 

LISBON 02 June 2025 — The Philippine Embassy in Lisbon, in coordination with MWO/OWWA-Madrid, NAIA-based MWO/OWWA personnel, and MWO/OWWA Region IX, successfully facilitated the medical repatriation of OFW Flordeliza Domo Rodriguez, to her hometown in Zamboanga City on 29 April 2025. 

Ms. Rodriguez, who had been hospitalized in Portugal due to a medical condition, was accompanied by an escort during her multi-leg journey from Lisbon to Manila and onward to Zamboanga. 

Upon arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Ms. Rodriguez and her medical escort were promptly assisted by MWO/OWWA personnel, who ensured that they received the necessary medical attention and logistical support while awaiting their connecting flight to Mindanao. 

In Zamboanga City, MWO/OWWA Region IX arranged for Ms. Rodriguez’s transport to Zamboanga Medical Center and arranged accommodations to allow her adequate rest before completing the final leg of her journey home.
