30 July 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales shakes hands with Dr. Yacoob Ibrahim, Singapore’s Minister for Communication and Information and Minister-in-Charge for Muslim Affairs during his introductory call on the Minister on July 23.  Both officials exchanged views on Philippine-Singapore bilateral cooperation in information, communication and media development. Ambassador Morales thanked Minister Ibrahim for Singapore’s openness in sharing its own experience in the development of madrasah education in Muslim areas in Mindanao and in providing opportunities for madrasah teachers to pursue further studies in Singapore. Both officials also discussed developments in the Middle East and measures undertaken by Singapore to re-educate a few of its nationals who are reported to be involved in jihadist activities. END
