DOT Successfully Conducts PH Sales Mission in Jakarta

JAKARTA 24 July 2025 — The Department of Tourism (DOT), in cooperation with PT Intrareps, the DOT Market Representative in Indonesia, successfully conducted a Philippine Sales Mission held at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta from 14 to 17 July 2025.

During the sales mission, business-to-business meetings were facilitated between key travel and tourism industry players from the Philippines and Indonesia, with the objective of boosting two-way tourism and people-to-people exchanges between both countries. 

In his keynote speech, Philippine Chargé d’Affaires Gonaranao B. Musor provided an update on his recent meeting with Indonesian Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana where the latter expressed interest in signing the pending MOU on Tourism Cooperation very soon. Once signed, the MOU will enable the Philippines and Indonesia to fully explore other opportunities to boost tourism, such as gastronomy, medical tourism, Muslim-friendly tourism, and the opening and revival of other routes, such as direct flights between Davao and Manado.

DOT Market Development Director Azucena C. Pallugna affirmed the Philippines’ strong efforts to promote the Philippines as a hub for business, entertainment, education, halal and medical tourism. 

After Jakarta, the Philippine Sales Mission was also held in Surabaya, while a sales call was arranged in Bali. END
