18 July 2013 – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh served 1,432 Filipinos during the 18th mobile consular services or Embassy on Wheels (EOW) held from July 12 to 13 at the Al Jazeera International School in Dammam.
The Embassy also extended assistance to overstaying Filipinos in facilitating repatriation procedures.
The Embassy Team, led by Vice Consul Redentor Genotiva, served 1,432 Filipinos during the EOW, including facilitating the release of passports of 450 Filipinos. The Embassy was assisted by Filipino volunteers from Filipino community organizations in the Eastern Province.
Additional Embassy personnel were also present to assist Filipinos in the Eastern Province in facilitating their repatriation, including cases of Filipino mothers and their undocumented children.
The next EOW will be held in Al Khafji from August 09 to 10 to account for the new weekend in Saudi Arabia. All Filipinos who wish to renew their passports are advised to secure an appointment through http://checkappointments.com/book/philembassyriyadh . END
