01 August 2014 - A five-man consular team from the Philippine Embassy in Rome, headed by Vice Consul Margret Malang, headed to Tirana, Albania for the first time to conduct consular outreach services to Filipinos in Albania.

 

The team was warmly welcomed by the Filipino community in Albania, headed by community leaders Ronnie Momadre, Ruby Calumbiran, Jamely Chua, Rose Marie Culang, and  Fabia Gamus.

 

The team processed nine e-Passport applications, three notarials, one passport extension and one report of marriage. Vice Consul Malang administered the Oath of Allegiance of Ms. Maricel Doroy Roshi, a Filipina married to an Albanese national.

 

The team was also able to register 22 new overseas voters.

 

The Philippine Labor Office, headed by Labor Attaché Viveca Catalig also joined the outreach and met with Albanese employers and recruitment agents.

 

The next consular outreach mission of the Philippine Embassy in Rome will be held in Cagliari, Sardegna from August 9 to 10. END
