04 August 2014 – The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou attended the China Guangzhou International Food and Ingredient Fair 2014 held in Canton Fair Complex, Guangzhou, China from June 26 to 29.

The fair creates a platform to promote different varieties of export processed food products and ingredients from foreign countries to attract Chinese investors and to introduce their export products to Chinese consumers.   Different countries put up pavilions showcasing an array of products including processed canned goods, chips, drinks, and food ingredients.

The Philippines’ representatives to the fair, Mabuhay OFW, a Macau-based corporation and part of Allied Food Enterprises Corporation managed by Mr. Edwin Go, and the makers of Oishi products, Liwayway Corporation Ltd., exhibited food and drinks that are widely known in the Philippines.

The two companies attracted consumers through a free taste of their products and made their products available for retail and wholesale purchases and booked orders. END
