honolulu207 August 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu attended the Commencement Program of the Comprehensive Crisis Management Course (CCM 14-1) at the Asia- Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) in Honolulu on July 1.

 

There were seven Filipino participants from both government civilian and the military. Capt. Roy Trinidad, Philippine Navy and class valedictorian, delivered the commencement address.

 

The Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) Course is a 4-week course that focuses on developing leadership skills in five core areas: comprehensive understanding of the complexity of crisis situations, strategic assessment, cooperation and collaboration, communication and use of appropriate technology.

 

The APCSS is a U.S. Department of Defense academic institute that addresses regional and global security issues, inviting military and civilian representatives of the U.S. and ASPAC nations to its comprehensive program of executive education and conferences. The Center supports the US Pacific Command’s objective of developing professional and personal ties among national security establishments throughout the region. END
