8 August 2014 - One hundred fifty (150) overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Libya arrived in Manila today at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
The first batch composed of sixty (60) OFWs arrived today at 7:10 a.m. on board EK336 while the second batch composed of 90 OFWs arrived at 4:15 p.m on board QR926.
These arrivals bring the total number of Filipino repatriates from Libya to 1347.
They were briefed and assisted by DFA and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) representatives upon their arrival at the airport.
The DFA continues to call on remaining Filipino nationals in Libya to immediately get in touch with the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli and register for repatriation. The Philippine Government will shoulder the repatriation costs.
