8 August 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Milan conducted its teambuilding activity on August 2 at Villa Porro Pirelli, a charming 18th century manor house located near Italy’s picturesque Lake District in Varese, about 60 kilometers from Milan.
The Consulate General’s personnel including the attached agencies were divided into four teams who carried out various teambuilding games. The day ended with the participants sharing their insights and how the activities provided fresh outlook on their interpersonal and working relations with one another.
One of the insights that the teambuilding exercise emphasized was that planning and strategizing are important factors for the success of any task or activity. Good communication and listening skills as well as working towards common goals that are clear and well understood by everyone are points learned during the teambuilding exercises.
In closing, Philippine Consul General Marichu Mauro stressed the importance of the three C’s: communication, coordination, and commitment. The Consul General encouraged the Consulate personnel to continue working together towards achieving the goals set by the Department of Foreign Affairs and the whole country in general.
The Consulate General intends to conduct its 2nd teambuilding next year. END
