8 August 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Santiago celebrated the 150th Birth Anniversary of Apolinario Mabini on July 20 with an afternoon of  fun-filled activities together with members  of the Filipino community.

Chargé d’Affaires Therese R. Cantada, in her brief message to the Filipino community, challenged everyone to emulate Mabini’s example, the “sublime paralytic” who made a difference for our country despite his physical disability.

Members of the Filipino community participated in the activities during the celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Apolinario Mabini. Ms. Cantada (bottom center photo)  presents a prize to the winner of one of the games. END
