Berlin

19 July 2013 – The Philippine Embassy in Berlin composed of Consul Adrian Cruz, Ms. Generosa Balocating, Ms. Melinda Hernias, Ms. Nors de Ramos, and Mr. Armand Mahinay conducted a mobile consular outreach service in Munich on July 13 in cooperation with the Philippine Honorary Consul in Bavaria.

The team facilitated a total of 115 e-passport applications and 15 assorted authentication, notarials and civil registry transactions.

The one-day outreach, which was held at the Office of the Honorary Consul in Nussbaumstrasse, received a large number of consular applications mainly from overseas Filipinos residing in the German states of Bayern and Baden-Württemberg. The successful turnout was due to the advance six-month notice given to the public and the implementation of a pre-registration system for passport applications.

The mobile outreach is part of the Philippine Embassy’s efforts to bring its consular services closer to Filipinos residing in different parts of Germany.

The last remaining consular outreach for the year will be held at the Philippine Honorary Consul’s office in Essen on September 14.  END
