14 August 2014 - Mr. Brian Nelson, Founder and Chair of BNC-KK, a global leading innovator of privacy technologies for e-commerce, with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, called on Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin in Honolulu on August 7.
Mr. Nelson introduced to the Consul General BNC-KK’s new product, the SIDO, which stands for Secure ID Online, a new platform which provides a secure and rewarding way for consumers and merchants to interact, through the use of an “online wallet” which aims to make online payment for goods and services fast, safe and convenient for merchants and their clients.
SIDO, which currently has 57 merchants in Japan comprising of online shops, restaurants and bars among others, plans to expand its presence starting next year in the United States, with Hawaii as the initial market, and in the Philippines.
According to Mr. Nelson, with the unprecedented growth in Philippine economy, incentives given to foreign investors and the young, educated labor force, it seemed that “everybody wants to be friends and do business with the Philippines.”
Consul General Jamoralin assured Mr. Nelson that the Consulate would be ready to assist his company in its expansion projects. She also invited Mr. Nelson to participate in and support upcoming trade and tourism activities next year such as the 25th Trade Mission of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii to the Philippines, the 21st Honolulu Festival and the 10th Ambassadors, Consuls General and Tourism Directors Tour (ACGTDT) to enable him to establish networks and linkages for SIDO’s expansion in the Philippines.
