22 July 2013 - In celebration of Madiba Day 2013 - Fight against Literacy, the Tsosoloso Organization and the Diplomatic Society called for book donations to stock a newly-built library at the Tsarogaphoka Primary School in Soshanguve.
Madiba is the clan name of South African icon and former President Nelson Mandela.
On behalf of the Philippine Embassy in Pretoria, Mrs. Yoko Ramos-Vingno, wife of Philippine Ambassador to South Africa Constancio Vingno, Jr., donated on July 18 a book entitled, “Central Philippines,” containing photos of scenery and tourist spots, as well as history, of places in the central islands of the Philippines.
Books were also donated by other diplomatic missions in Pretoria. The book donations were intended to provide school children with references on the diversity of nations, cultures and traditions all over the world. END
