26 August 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Switzerland Leslie J. Baja met with members of the Filipino community in the Canton of Valais to update them on various initiatives and services of the Philippine Embassy in Berne and assure them of the Embassy’s continued assistance and cooperation.

In his engagement with the community, Ambassador Baja thanked the community for their continuous hard work and dedication, especially in promoting a positive image of Filipinos in Switzerland.  The community thanked the Ambassador for visiting them.

The Ambassador also took the opportunity to encourage the community to register as overseas voters.

Ambassador Baja likewise discussed the Embassy’s consular services such as passport renewal, petition for Filipino citizenship retention/reacquisition, and other notarials and authentication services. 

Ambassador Baja gladly addressed the community’s consular concerns, and assured the community of the Embassy’s readiness to assist them. END
