27 August 2014 – Philippine Consul General Jose D.R. Burgos paid a courtesy call on the Governor of North Sulawesi, Dr. Sinyo Harry Sarundajang, to discuss developments and ongoing preparations for the Inaugural Manado-Davao-Manado Direct Chartered flight by Sriwijaya Air on September 1 and 3.

The Consul General took the opportunity to inform the Governor of the efforts of the Consulate General and the North Sulawesi-Mindanao Business Council (NORSULMIN) to jumpstart the Davao-Manado direct flights. A significant development in the upcoming charter flight is the Governor’s intent to participate in the said flight and visit Davao City from September 1 to 3, together with a delegation composed of high-level stakeholders, local government officials, businessmen and the private sector from North Sulawesi. A highlight during the upcoming delegation will be a meeting between Governor Sarundajang and the Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte. END
