28 August 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in New York went to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for its biennial consular outreach for the community. The Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh Inc. co-sponsored the event held on August 9 at the Homeville Christian Church.

A total of 94 applications for passport renewal, dual citizenship acquisition, civil registry and notarial services were processed by the eight-man team led by Vice Consul Khrystina Corpuz.  Registration for overseas voting was likewise conducted on site, resulting in the addition of 36 new voters to the New York database for the 2016 National Elections.  A booth sponsored by the Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration was also set up to provide information on workers’ rights and entertain questions from the community.

The next consular outreach will be held on October 11 in Merrimack, New Hampshire (contact person Ms Jocelyn Santiago This email address is being protected from spambots.
