29 August 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Oslo joined the Embassies of Indonesia, Thailand and Viet Nam in Copenhagen in organizing an ASEAN Food Festival on August 20.

The event was held at the Thai Ambassador’s residence in Hellerup, Copenhagen in the form of a garden party and was attended by some 150 guests, which included foreign diplomats, entrepreneurs, and members of the media. The activity aimed to promote awareness of the wonderful cultural offerings of the ASEAN community by letting guests experience the variety of delicious cuisine from the region.

The Philippine Embassy served pansit (Stir-fry noodles with chicken strips and vegetables), lumpia (Spring rolls with ground beef and vegetables) and Philippine dried mangoes. In addition, traditional Filipino music such as the Cariñosa was played along with the music of the other ASEAN countries. END
