Sixteen teams from the different Consulates in the city and the U.S. Office of Foreign Mission participated in the event.
The six member SF PCG team, led by team captain Deputy Consul General Jaime Ramon T. Ascalon, won first place with a total score of 725 points.
The Consulates of Brazil and Germany followed as second and third place winners, respectively.
The Annual Bowling Tournament has been one of the most popular and sought after events of the YDC. With the objective of promoting sports diplomacy as one of the means of fostering and promoting relations with the host country as well as with the Consular Corps in San Francisco, SF PCG has been actively and successfully participating in the tournament. In 2011, SF PCG won second place. The following year, it won the championship as well as the trophy for the player who bowled the highest score in the tournament. END
