04 September 2014 - The “Flavours of the Philippines” featuring Philippine cuisine returned to The Grace Hotel in Sydney from August 07 to 24 to the delight of the Filipino community and the Australian public who have enjoyed Filipino food on offer during the previous five Filipino food festivals held at the hotel.
The food festival was organized by the office of the Department of Tourism in Sydney, headed by Tourism Attaché Consuelo Jones, in collaboration with Cebu Pacific Air and The Grace Hotel Sydney.
Philippine Consul General Anne Jalando-on Louis conveyed her thanks to The Grace Hotel General Manager Philip Pratley and his team for their continued support for the festival, which brings the variety and flavors of Filipino food, from main dishes to desserts, to patrons in Sydney. According to the hotel, the patrons who dine at the hotel during the Philippine food festival are increasing in number each year.
On August 20, Philippine Ambassador to Australia Belen F. Anota visited the food festival and met the Filipino chefs from renowned Filipino restaurant Via Mare. Chefs Rodito Dimatera, Benjamin Zabala and Leandro Templonuevo prepared an excellent spread for the festival. END
