The celebration, held at the premises of the Consulate General of Mexico, highlighted the successes of the implementation of labor laws in Los Angeles. Nevertheless, it was stated that more can be done to protect the workers in the area of immigration reform. It was mentioned that the most vulnerable and abused are the undocumented workers who are afraid to report the abuses for fear of arrest and deportation.
