15 September 2014 - The two officials from the United States Citizenship Immigration Services Department of Homeland Security (USCIS-DHS) based in Honolulu headed by District Director David G. Gulick and Deputy Chief Counsel David Roy called on Philippine Consul General Marciano R. De Borja at the Consulate General in Agana on September 11 to discuss issues and concerns regarding immigration, particularly those affecting Filipinos in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Director Gulick provided updates on the extension of the transition period and clarified matters on the Alien Guest Workers or CW1 program in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). Consul General De Borja, who just came back from an official visit in Saipan thanked the USCIS officials for their call and for clarifying matters relevant to the Filipinos

USCIS-DHS has been an official partner of the Consulate General in conducting Post Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) since it started in 2007.

Joining them are Consul Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian and  USCIS Guam District Office Director Stephen P. Green. END
