15 September 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney conducted a consular outreach mission on September 6 to Blacktown City, which has the biggest population of Filipinos at around 26,000 in New South Wales. The Philippine Consulate General team comprised Consul Marford Angeles, Mr. Jose Jacinto Morales, Ms. Ma. Regina Queenie Perol, Mr. Russell Villegas, Mr. Joeban Sayong, Mr. Elpidio Raiz and Ms. Leilanie Cariaga.
The team processed applications for passports, dual citizenship, reports of marriage, notarizations and NBI clearance and overseas voters registration. Consul Angeles also administered the oath to 12 candidates re-acquiring their Philippine citizenship. The team members responded to queries on consular services, dual citizenship and overseas voting.
Philippine Consul General Anne Jalando-on Louis thanked the Philippine-Australian Community Services Inc. (PACSI) led by its President, Ms. Natividad Millarez, and its Secretary, Ms. Evelyn Alejandro, its community workers, Ms. Nelia Sumcad and Ms. Lina Cabaero, and its volunteers, Ms. Beatriz Van der Bosh and Ms. Marilex Lopez, for their assistance in arranging the mobile consular services which was held at the PACSI’s office in Blacktown City.
