Singapore Table Service

23 September 2014 - Officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore headed by Ambassador Antonio A. Morales underwent a seminar in table service sequence at the official residence at 17 Victoria Park Road, Singapore on September 13.

The initiative was part of the Philippine Ambassador’s thrust to provide continuing education opportunities for Embassy personnel to equip them with the necessary skills and tools, which could be useful in their role as members of the Philippine foreign service.

Mr. Edwin David, newly-promoted Food and Beverages Manager of Conrad Centennial Hotel Singapore, was invited as resource person. Mr. David, a permanent resident in Singapore, rose from the ranks and started his career in the food and beverages industry at Shangri-La Hotel in Makati.

During the seminar, the participants were oriented to basic elements and tips on fine dining, which is a feature of life in the foreign service.

Ambassador Morales praised the participants for their continuing desire to update themselves even as he conveyed his appreciation to Mr. David for imparting his expertise.

To continue with the initiative, the Embassy will organize a subsequent seminar on food and wine tasting. END
