30 September 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Yemen Ezzedin Tago met with Mr. Abderahim Sabir, the Senior Political Adviser of the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar on September 25.

Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin Tago received a briefing from the UN Special Envoy’s adviser on the the recently signed Peace and Partnership Agreement signed in Sana’a which was facilitated by the UN Special Envoy Jamal Benomar.  They also discussed the current political and security situation in Yemen.

There are currently 691 Filipinos in Yemen as registered on the Embassy database.  The Embassy urges all Filipinos in Yemen to register on the Embassy website (www.riyadhpe.dfa.gov.ph) regardless of their status in Yemen. END
