01 October 2014 – The Philippine Consulate General in Milan participated in the 22nd anniversary celebration of Jesus is Lord (JIL) Church on September 28 at Teatro della Luna, Assago, Milan.
Vice Consul Maria Rosanna Josue delivered remarks to the more than 2,000 faithful who attended the event, emphasizing the importance of perpetuating Filipino values such as love of God, country, family and the Filipino language. Also in attendance were Pag-IBIG Milan representative Brigitte Mahor and other consular personnel.
Milan was the last stop of a two-month intercontinental preaching tour of JIL founder, Brother Eddie Villanueva. JIL Milan, which was established twenty-two years ago, has 18 satellite churches at the periphery of the City of Milan. It boasts a 2,000-strong membership.
The high-energy anniversary celebration counted on the participation of young and talented Filipinos who performed in the choir, dance and musical presentations. The six-hour event was capped with a healing prayer for cancer victims and a special prayer for the leaders of the Philippine government. END
