02 October 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz led Philippine Embassy officers and staff in attending the 15th Anniversary celebration of the Couples for Christ (CFC) Lebanon on September 14, at the Sports Field of the Notre Dame De Jamhour School.
In her message, Ambassador Ruiz commended the CFC for its activities aimed at building spiritual growth, harmony and cooperation among its members. She also urged the CFC Lebanon to support Embassy activities and to encourage Filipinos in Lebanon to register for the May 2016 Philippine national elections.
The CFC’s annual sports festival featured a cheering competition, track event, ball games and bible quiz. A holy mass offered for the anniversary celebration was held early in the day at the St. Joseph Church in Tabaris, Achrafieh in Beirut, where the CFC is based. END
