abuja trade fair

02 October 2014 – The Philippines participated at the 9th Abuja International Trade Fair which is running for two weeks starting September 23 at J.T. Useni International Trade Fair Complex, Airport Road, Abuja, Nigeria.

The Philippine booth, one of 2,000 exhibitors, managed by Engr. and Mrs. Manouchehr F. Foroozan, showcased Philippine arts and crafts that highlighted the ingenuity and excellent craftsmanship of the Filipinos. Among the best selling Philippine products at the fair are the shell handicrafts.

Previous participation of Engr. and Mrs. Foroozan showcasing Philippine products has won them numerous awards, the most recent of which was the Best Product/Best Design Award at the 7th African Arts & Crafts Expo (AFAC) held in Abuja from July 18 to 17, besting 17 participating countries.

The fair also noted the increasing number of participants and guests, an indicator that fears of Ebola infection ceased after President Goodluck Jonathan had announced Nigeria’s containment of the disease.

The trade fair, which was organized by the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was meant to serve as an ideal platform for brand building as it brings together captains of trade and industry, foreign emissaries, decision makers, business persons, entrepreneurs, overseas business delegations to a single venue.  The Abuja Trade Fair is one of the largest trade fairs of its kind in Nigeria.
