02 October 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to Argentina Ma. Amelita C. Aquino joined the Ambassadors of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam in the seminar on “Asian Markets: New Opportunities” organized by the Provincial Government of Tucuman in northwestern Argentina.

Ambassador Aquino highlighted  the strong economic performance of the Philippines,  its competitive advantages, major export products and services and priority areas for investment. She also underscored that the  common hispanic heritage of Argentina and the Philippines would facilitate doing business in the Philippines for Latin American businessmen.

The ASEAN Ambassadors were received by legislators of Tucuman, led by Acting President of the Legislature Regino Amado, at the Legislative Building. They also met with Tucuman Governor Jose Alperovich at the Government House  during which the Ambassadors were declared as Distinguished Guests of the province.END
