07 October 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Mexico Catalino R. Dilem, Jr., together with the Philippine Embassy’s Cultural Officer Rosabelle Q. Toledo, Philippine Honorary Consul Mario de la O Almazan, and Filipino painter Manuel D. Baldemor, visited the city of Acapulco on October 01 and met with officials of the Museo Historico, Fuerte de San Diego to discuss final arrangements for Mr. Baldemor’s one-man painting exhibit on October 08.
The painting exhibit is held in celebration of the International Day of the Galleon, which was declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) during its 35th Session in October 2009.
Museum officials showed the venue for the art exhibit, which is at the Sala De Servicios Educativos of the Museum, and to the Auditorio del Museo Historico Fuerte de San Diego, where Mr. Baldemor will be delivering a lecture on Philippine art. END
