13 October 2014 - With the success of the first-ever Philippine Art Exhibition in Lebanon entitled “A Journey of Colors” by Dublin-based Filipino artist Marvin Baldemor held from June 07 to 15, Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz undertook to thank, on behalf of the Philippine Embassy in Beirut and of Mr. Baldemor, the Lebanese sponsors of the exhibition.

Ambassador Ruiz credited Lebanon’s top private companies for making the historic Marvin Baldemor Philippine Art Exhibition in Beirut possible as a hallmark of collaboration in the field of arts and culture between the two countries.

The companies are Solidere, Lebanon’s foremost reconstruction and development company; Bank of Beirut Finance Western Union, a leading financial institution; and Beirut Waterfront Development SAL, developer-owner of one of the most prominent transformation projects in the country, Zaitunay Bay and Le Yacht Club-Beirut.

During separate meetings, Ambassador Ruiz discussed with the officials of these companies opportunities for expansion of bilateral trade, labor, tourism and cultural cooperation. She also received their assurances of continued support in arts and culture promotion aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and appreciation between the two countries. END
