Macau

29 July 2013 - In a simple ceremony held at the Philippine Consulate in Macau, Caritas Macau Secretary General Paul Pun Chi Meng turned over a check of 50,000 Hong Kong dollars to Consul General Danilo T. Ibayan as donation to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

The check was handed to Consul General Ibayan last July 02 in the presence of Vice Consul Fernando Beup, Jr., Labor Attaché Ramon Lamberto Pastrana, and Finance Officer Felisa Macaraig.

The donation was intended by Caritas Macau to help the victims of super typhoon Pablo (international designation Bopha) that had hit the southern island of Mindanao in the Philippines last December 2012 leaving more than 600 fatalities and thousands of people homeless.

The donation was the second to be made by Caritas Macau since November 08, 2012 when it gave 100,000 Hong Kong dollars to the PRC for the victims of tropical storm Sendong (international name Washi).

The check will be turned over by the Consulate to the PRC in Manila. END
