22 October 2014 - In cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General in Reggio Calabria led by Philippine Honorary Consul General Domenico Marciano and various Filipino community associations in the area, the Philippine Embassy in Rome conducted a consular outreach mission in Reggio Calabria from October 18 to 19.
Total services rendered were, among others, 412 applications for e-Passports, 29 reports of birth (ROB), 18 Affidavits, and 107 membership applications for Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), 91 Pag-IBIG applications and 95 Social Security System (SSS) applications.
Furthermore, in its continuous efforts to enfranchise as many members of the Filipino community as possible for the 2016 elections, the outreach also successfully registered 298 new overseas voters.
The outreach was held in Grand Excelsior Hotel and coincided with the 5th Anniversary celebration of the Consulate General in Reggio Calabria. The outreach mission was led by Chargé d’Affaires Leila Lora-Santos and comprised of a 10-member Consular/Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) team. END
