23 October 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Moscow hosted a media launch and workshop for the upcoming Moscow-Cebu charter flights organized by Adamidi Corporation with the support of the Department of Tourism (DOT) on October 20.
The regular charter flights will begin on 26 December 2014 and will fly out of Moscow every 11 days until May 2015, bringing Russian tourists directly to Cebu and onward to various high-end destinations in the Philippines. Russian carrier Oren Air will operate the flights using a Boeing 777-200ER.
The event was held at the Philippine Embassy ballroom and was attended by Russian media and tour operators who were briefed on the various packages and destinations such as Manila, Boracay, Bohol, Negros and Palawan. Present at the event were Mr. Valeri Ishunkin of AccessRussia and DOT-Russia Representative, Ms. Aneza Adamidi of Adamidi Corporation and officials of Oren Air.
Philippine Charge d’Affaires Melchor P. Lalunio, Jr. opened the event and expressed the Embassy’s support to the endeavor. The Embassy estimates that the scheduled charter alone can bring in up to 4,500 high-value tourism arrivals to the Philippines. END
