28 October 2014 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a Consular Outreach Program for Filipinos in Udon Thani Province and nearby areas on October 11. During the outreach, the Embassy also registered Filipinos for Overseas Absentee Voting. The Embassy organized the outreach with the assistance of the Samahan ng mg Pilipino sa Northeast Thailand (SPSNET) headed by Ms. Mary Jane Teetipsatit.

During the outreach, the Embassy Team processed applications for e-Passports, reports of civil registry records, and issued certifications and Embassy identification cards. Philippine Consul Princess Tomas-Tayao held a community dialogue during which she addressed consular-related concerns, gave a briefing on the ASEAN Community, and showed a video on Financial Literacy.

Thai Immigration Officers headed by Police Major Chalermchad Jenkarn also gave a briefing on Thailand’s new immigration policies.  END
