28 October 2014 - Project Manager of Contecon Manzanillo Engineer Galo Carrillo Murillo welcomed Philippine Ambassador to Mexico Catalino R. Dilem, Jr., Administrative Officer Bernardo Bagalay, Finance Officer Randy Hilot, Philippine Honorary Consul Hector Mora Gomez, Colima´s Tourism Secretary Hector Sandoval, Mr. Cecilio Lepe, Jr. the representative of the Governor of Colima  as they arrived on the morning of October 18 at the site of operations of Contecon Manzanillo located in the Port of Manzanillo. 

During the visit, Engineer Carrillo gave a presentation of the operations of Contecon Manzanillo including the history of its presence in Mexico. Its port development in Manzanillo covers about 77 hectares with 1,080 meters of seafront.

He also mentioned that the timetable set by ICTSI for the full operation of Contecon in Manzanillo is proceeding as scheduled as it has now completed the first of three  phases of the construction stage.

After the presentation, the Philippine delegation were given an onsite tour of Contecon´s operations. Ambassador Dilem and his delegation experienced firsthand the workings of Contecon´s gigantic quay crane by being transported to its top working arm. END
