29 October 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Doha participated in the  Movenpick Hotel- sponsored ASEAN Street Food Festival from October 19 to 26. The event was supported by the seven ASEAN Embassies based in Qatar.

This festival showcased the different ASEAN cuisines to both locals and foreigners.

October 23 was designated as the Philippine cuisine night where delicacies like turon, puto, halayang ube, and adobo were served to the guests. The guests were entertained with Philippine cultural dances and songs performed by local Filipino groups, including the Banyuhay, The Lords Choir and the Bandang Pinoy sa Qatar. END
