07 November 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to Switzerland Leslie J. Baja was the guest of honor at the vernissage of the solo exhibit of Filipina artist Ms. Pamela Gotangco on November 05 at the Seedamm Plaza Hotel and Casino in Pfäffikon, Zurich, Switzerland.

Ms. Gotangco’s solo exhibit, entitled “Pretty Playful”, featured her current works in celebration of the hotel’s Asian Food and Culture Festival.

Her works on display are influenced by Asian culture, most especially the Filipino dance “Tinikling”, and other contemporary Asian influences such as the Japanese Manga and Anime.

Ambassador Baja commended Ms. Gotangco for bringing Filipino culture to the consciousness of the Swiss people. The Ambassador said the works of Ms. Gotangco prove that Filipino talent and creativity are truly world class.

Ms. Gotangco’s works for the exhibit present an exploration of Asian feminism to promote equal opportunity for women, and highlight the role of women in our present society.
