18 November 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to France Ma. Theresa Lazaro met French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) President André Marcon at the CCI headquarters in Paris, France on October 01.

The meeting came on the heels of the official visit of President Benigno S. Aquino III to France on September 17 to 19, and is part of the preparations for the visit of French President François Hollande to the Philippines scheduled for the first half of 2015.

Ambassador Lazaro shared recent economic developments in the Philippines and the opportunities available for French companies. She also expressed her desire to develop stronger economic and trade relations between the Philippines and France.

Mr. Marcon welcomed these developments and informed Ambassador Lazaro that a CCI France delegation would visit the Philippines in April 2015 as part of the CAP ASEAN activities.

The CCI is one of the oldest institutions in France which counts all French companies as its members. The CCI has regional offices as well as offices abroad. It has 112 offices in 82 countries, including the Philippines. END
