21 November 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Agana,Guam conducted a mobile consular mission for the Filipinos in Saipan, Commonwealth of Mariana islands (CNMI) from November 14 to 18 at the Marianas Business Center in Susupe. The consular team was led by Consul Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian and composed of Francisco Magno, Emmanuel Garcia, Allan Tangayan, Ms. Emerita Marquez and Ms. Maelani Revilla.
The consular team was assisted by the volunteers from the United Filipino Organizations (UFO) in Saipan led by its President, Ms. Annamae Adaza, and the Filipino community.
The consular team was able to process a total of 527 applications for e-Passports, 56 applications for passport extension, 98 notarials/authentication, 35 employment contract verifications, 15 reports of birth, four reports of marriage, two visa applications and one travel document.
The team was also able to process 334 new overseas voters applications for the May 2016 elections.
The consular team was joined by Overseas Workers Welfare Organization (OWWA) representative Julia Fabian who came all the way from Manila to process the application and renewal of OWWA membership of overseas Filipino workers in the CNMI. Ms. Fabian was able to process a total of 2,145 applications for OWWA membership as of November 18. She was also scheduled to visit Rota and Tinian islands to process the OWWA applications of the Filipinos in those two islands. END
