2 August 2013 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok held a forum on franchising opportunities in the Philippines on July 27 as part of its “Kapihan sa Pasuguan” program.

Ms. Ma. Alegria Sibal-Limjoco, Vice-Chairman of Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) presented an overview of the Philippine Franchising Sector. Ms. Sibal-Limjoco also discussed ways to analyze and determine the qualities of a good franchise company.

After the presentation, the participants asked questions on franchise investing. Many of those who expressed interest to bring Philippine franchise companies to Thailand were Thai nationals of Filipino descent. Participants also networked with PFA officials.

The event was the third “Kapihan” to be organized by the Embassy for the Filipino community in Thailand. Through the program, the Embassy is able to discuss important issues, share new ideas and best practices, and engage stakeholders in meaningful dialogue. The Embassy collaborates with individuals, organizations and government agencies interested in sharing their work with the Filipino community in Thailand. END
