24 November 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar and the Department of Agriculture (DA) will launch Linamnam Fiesta at the Shangri-La Sule Hotel from November 26 to December 02.

The week-long food festival in Yangon is part of the ASEAN Road Show, a region-wide activity spearheaded by the DA in collaboration with the Philippine Embassies in the ASEAN region.

Building on the success of the Philippine Food Festival in Yangon in 2013, Linamnam Fiesta will highlight the Philippines’ festive Christmas celebration. This culminating activity of the ASEAN Roadshow will feature parol (lanterns) from Pampanga and Philippine traditional cuisine showcased by talented Filipino chef Jam Melchor. END
