24 November 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Nestor Z. Ochoa, together with his wife, Madame Mayie E. Ochoa, graced the opening of the Pancake House International on November 16 at the Kg Kiulap, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Ambassador Ochoa, Guest of Honor in the event, officiated the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony together with Pancake House International Brunei Chairman Pg Anak Hj Jaafar ibni Al-Marhum Pg Pemancha Pg Anak Hj Mohamed Alam.

Pancake House International was originally established in the Philippines in 1970 by three Filipino entrepreneurs who wanted to introduce freshly baked pancakes and waffles in varied flavors and preparations to a predominantly rice-based consuming market. It now has a total of 114 branches in the Philippines and six in Malaysia.  Brunei is the second international market that the franchise has ventured into.

The franchise in Brunei is managed by CRP (B) Sdn Bhd.  Pancake House is also the latest international food franchise to foray into the Brunei market in recent times. END
