01 December 2014 - ASEAN Integration of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) Chairperson and U-Franchise President Sam Christopher Lim gave a talk on franchise opportunities in the Philippines at the Philippine Embassy in Yangon on November 27.

Mr. Lim gave an overview on franchising and discussed some successful franchise brands in the Philippines and the trends in the franchising industry in the country. Franchising, he said, “allows you to be in a business for yourself but not by yourself.” He was joined by Fruit Magic President Dr. Alan Escalona, Mr. Johnny Que of Waffle Time and Tysons Global Inc. President Rafael Hernandez who shared their experiences in building their own franchise brands.

Mahalaga ang mga seminar na tulad nito para sa pagbibigay kaalaman sa mga Pilipino lalo na sa wastong pangangalaga ng pera.” (Filipinos should consider putting to good use their hard-earned money abroad. Seminars like these are important in providing Filipinos with information on money management.)

The franchise seminar is part of the financial literacy campaign of the Philippine Embassy in Yangon. END
