03 December 2014 – The Manila Concert Choir (MCC) held two successful free concert performances in Bangkok on November 21 and 22, organized through the Philippine Embassy Cultural Diplomacy Program to promote Philippine music and generate interest in the Philippines and Philippine tourism through the Embassy cultural promotion program.
The first performance was held at the Asok Montri Music and Performing Arts Hall I of the Srinakharinwirot University on November 21 through the Embassy collaboration with the Western Music Department, Faculty of Fine Arts of the Srinakharinwirot University with an audience of 300. The second performance was held at the Embassy grounds on November 22 before an appreciative group of Thai alumni of Philippine schools.
Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia was interviewed by Khun Sippachai Kunnuwong, Creative Writer and reporter of The Thai Public Broadcasting Services (Thai PBS) before the performance on November 21, which was then aired at Thai PBS news on November 23.
