04 December 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a “Seminar on Health Care and Disease Prevention” on November 29 for the members of the Filipino community in Thailand, specifically for women. The Embassy conducted the seminar as part of its Gender and Development advocacy.

The Embassy tapped Dr. Nick Walters of the Mission Hospital as the resource speaker.  In his talk, Dr. Walters provided helpful and practical tips on improving one’s physical, emotional and mental health. His talk was both informative and engaging and was well received by the participants who actively participated in the open forum that ensued.

In his closing remarks, Philippine Minister and Consul General Edgar B. Badajos thanked the Filipino community for attending and actively participating in the seminar. END
